Greetings Colaborando Juntos Community,

 It is with great honor that I would like to welcome you to this exciting New Year with Colaborando Juntos!  The Leadership Team has been assembled and we are very excited about our plans for 2010. 

 We continue to build our organization and  we are very proud to serve you and the Latino community in the Richmond-Metropolitan area. 

 The mission of Colaborando Juntos has been to provide a platform for service providers and agencies that work with the Latino Community, and to facilitate discussion, education and resources for all. 

  It is with great excitement that I present to you our dedicated board members:

Mrs. Jamie Sasser -  Secretary/Membership Coordinator 

Mrs. Erin McGrath  -Communications Director

Ms. Rebekah Holbrook – Events Chair

Mrs. Riguey King – Special Projects Coordinator

Mrs. Cecily P. Rodriguez – Ad-hoc Member Coordinator  

This year we have prepared a list of events that will allow us to fulfill our mission and meet some of the current needs as communicated to us by you, our clients.  Colaborando Juntos will host a series of events the third Friday of each month the topics to be discussed are outlined below:

April 16, 2010 ----- Prostate Screening

May 21, 2010 ----- Domestic Violence

June18, 2010 ----- HIV & AIDS

July 16, 2010 ----- Prevention & Substance Abuse

August 20, 2010 ---- Youth Mentoring

September 17, 2010 ---- Housing

October 15, 2010 ----- Event TBD

November 19 ---- Annual Conference 

 We look forward to working with you and of course learning from you.  If you consider yourself an expert or a specialist in any of the fore mentioned topics, we invite you to work with us and share your knowledge with the community.
